My Morning Routine / Daily Schedule


If you follow me on Instagram, then you know life’s been busy. Martin & I are currently shopping for a bigger home, and while it’s such a fun process, it’s also a hectic one. But we’re super excited and can’t wait to find the “one” that feels right for us. So far, each home has had something we don’t love: location, noisy road, or just the wrong finishings. Anyway, I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted. As for today’s blog post… I’m excited to chat morning routines because I’m honestly a little obsessed with them.

For me, starting my morning off on the right foot can set the tone for my entire day, and either take me from super productive, to unmotivated and disorganized. The worst. So lately, I’ve been diligently writing out my tasks for the day and breaking them down by the hour. It’s made a world of difference for both my mood and overall motivation. With that said, here’s a breakdown of my morning/day and I’d absolutely love to hear about yours too!!

6:30AM Wake up and make coffee. I usually head back to bed, snuggle with the fur fam, answer emails, review my to-do list or finish writing my blog post for the day.

7:30AM Pamper time. This makes a world of difference, especially because I work from home. I’ll pop in my whitening strips, apply a hot towel to my face, a moisturizing mask + finish off with my favourite moisturizer (or I alternate with this one) and eye cream. Then I apply Charlotte Tilbury Brightening Youth Glow, a swipe of mascara, Nars Blush in Orgasm and I’m all set.

8:00AM Breakfast & get to work. I typically eat a gluten free bagel with hummus & avocado or peanut butter. I pour myself another cup of coffee and get to work. This usually involves planning content, working on upcoming collaborations, skyping with a client, or finishing up emails and paperwork.

10:00AM Workout. One of the perks of working from home is that my schedule is flexible. I love to take a 30 minute break and do yoga (I use this website and love it), or pop into our private clubhouse and work out. Then I make my favourite energizing smoothie (I’ll be sure to share the recipe soon) and then it’s back to work.

3:00PM All done. I usually wrap up my work day at 3pm, tidy our home and start prepping for dinner, or oftentimes, I head into the city for a PR meeting or an event. If I do, I’ll grab dinner at Notch 8 or a light nibble at 1927 Lounge, then a quick pop into Nordstrom’s and head home.

6:00PM Dinner & down time. If we’re staying in, then it’s dinner at home and I absolutely love to get into the kitchen and cook. I love to make vegetarian chilli, a hearty salad, or gluten free pasta with meatless meatballs (or if I’m feeling lazy, I buy these) and top with parm. Yum! Then my hubby & I relax on the couch, catch up on our favourite Netflix show (we’re currently watching Jane The Virgin) or we’ll have tea and chat about our day.

8:30PM Work. My hubby starts getting ready for work and I take advantage of the extra time and finish up a few more work things, or write out my to-do list for the next day.

10:00PM Sleep time. Our goal is to be in bed by 10PM. We’ll often read, or I’ll watch Netflix on my laptop and then it’s lights out at 11PM.

There you have it friends, a peek into my morning / daily routine. Our weekends definitely look a lot different, but this is the groove we’ve gotten into for our work week and love it. A good balance of work + downtime! xo
