Happy Thursday, friends. I have lots of outfit posts lined up for September & October, but today, I’m taking a break from that and wanting to share a fun / candid look at our past month-ish. Also, hard to believe fall is less than two weeks away. Our temps are definitely starting to cool on the west coast, and so naturally I’ve started ordering all the burnt orange and rust hued sweaters. Can’t wait to start getting cozy on the blog and in my day-to-day style. Yay!
Earlier this month, we had an improptu / fall-inspired picnic and it was lovely. We grabbed a few things at the organic market: ciabatta bread, goat cheese brie and the yummiest olive tapenade made with fig & orange. Yum, it was so delicious! Sat under the prettiest tree, looked out at the ocean and had the best afternoon.
Oh my goodness, I always feel like such a goober when we take selfies. Haha! But we had so much fun heading down to Buntzen Lake for a walk (it’s so beautiful there) and I really wanted to document it. So here we are! ;) While it can be hard to get out… between busy schedules, family commitments and just life… I always try to make it a priority as best as I can. Fingers crossed for lots of adventures this fall, and winter!
We also finally checked out Yellow Dog Brewing and loved it there!! They have the best vibes and most chill atmosphere. I especially loved the huge garage doors that open up to an outdoor space - can imagine myself lounging there on a warm fall day and enjoying a yummy IPA (love their High Five Hazy) & freshly baked pretzel. Plus they have food trucks parked outside as well. We’re planning on going with friends - can’t wait!
Haha, I’ve got a real food theme going on here, don’t I?! ;) For our most recent date night, we also checked out a neighbourhood fave, Spacca Napoli Pizzeria in Port Moody. And I’m obsessed, for sure. I love wood fire burning pizza and I love traditional Italian pizza so much too. We ordered the anellina pizza with fried eggplant, parmigiano cheese, fresh basil and fior di latte mozzarella. Next time, I really want to try their gnocchi, and get tiramisu and a coffee for desert. Eeee!! I love food way too much!!
How cute is this historic home?! We’ve loved going for walks in the historic part of our neighbourhood, though we’re keeping them on the shorter side because of my accident. But, I can’t wait to do it again now that the leaves are slowly starting to change, wear my fave rust coloured cardigan and sip on a PSL. Haha, oh my gosh, fall nerd alert!
Hope you guys enjoyed this more candid look at our past little while, and I’ll see you next week with an outfit post + my annual fall bucket list. Happy almost Friday!! xo
